Mitchell Robinson and Dyson Daniels were both thrown out of Game 6 between the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks after a heated exchange during the second quarter.

The incident occurred during a free throw by OG Anunoby, when the two players got entangled and began pushing each other, prompting coaches and staff, including head coach Mike Brown, to step in and separate them.

Following a replay review, officials assessed both players technical fouls and ejected them from the game.

The tension between Robinson and Daniels had been building throughout the series, making the altercation less surprising.

At the time of the ejections, New York held a massive lead, completely overwhelming Atlanta.

The Knicks went into halftime with a 47-point advantage, marking the largest halftime lead in NBA playoff history.

While a suspension for Robinson isn’t guaranteed, his availability moving forward could still be something to watch as New York prepares for the next round against the winner of the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers series.
