Golden State Warriors two-way guard LJ Cryer went down with a right ankle injury during Thursday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers and was clearly in heavy discomfort, requiring help to get off the floor (Twitter video link via NBC Sports Bay Area).

The early signs, however, are encouraging. On Friday, the team shared (via Twitter) that Cryer is dealing with a mild ankle sprain and will be checked again in about a week.

On a separate note, Warriors wing Moses Moody met with reporters Friday for the first time since suffering a torn patellar tendon last month.

As relayed by Nick Friedell of The Athletic, Moody was in “good spirits” and conveyed optimism about his rehab process and his chances of returning to his prior level of performance.

He also noted that he has connected with Warriors broadcaster Kelenna Azubuike, who went through the same injury during his playing days.
