Jalen Brunson scored 29 points and Karl-Anthony Towns added 22 points and 10 rebounds as the New York Knicks defeated the Toronto Raptors 112-95 on Friday night at Madison Square Garden.
The result secured the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference for New York, which improved to 53-28 and extended its winning streak to five games.
The Knicks also completed a season sweep of Toronto, winning all five meetings and extending their winning streak in the matchup to 13 consecutive games dating back to 2023.
Brunson shot 12-of-18 from the field, while Towns went 8-of-12, providing consistent scoring efficiency inside and outside the paint.
New York opened the game with a 14-3 run and led 22-21 after the first quarter before taking control in the second.
The Knicks outscored Toronto 29-15 in the second quarter to build a 51-36 halftime lead through half-court execution and transition scoring.
Toronto trimmed the margin to 66-57 in the third quarter after a Brandon Ingram dunk, but New York responded immediately with a decisive scoring stretch.
Brunson sparked a 9-0 run with a pull-up fadeaway and a three-pointer, pushing the lead to 75-57 and shifting momentum back to the home side.
The Knicks maintained control in the paint, finishing with a 58-48 scoring advantage inside, which complemented their perimeter shot creation.
OG Anunoby exited in the second quarter with a left ankle injury and did not return, reducing New York’s wing rotation for the remainder of the game.
Karl-Anthony Towns anchored the interior production, while Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart contributed across multiple areas in a balanced rotation effort.
Brandon Ingram led Toronto with 16 points, while Scottie Barnes and Ja’Kobe Walter added 15 points each in the loss that snapped their brief winning run.
The Knicks will close the regular season at home against Charlotte, while Toronto finishes its campaign against Brooklyn on Sunday.
