Simone Fontecchio and Pelle Larsson led Miami with 24 points each, providing consistent perimeter scoring throughout the game. Bam Adebayo added 20 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists in a balanced all-around performance.
Bub Carrington paced Washington with 30 points, while Bilal Coulibaly added 25 points, including 19 in the first half. The Wizards maintained offensive pressure early but struggled to sustain stops against Miami’s efficiency.
Miami established control with a 10-0 run late in the first quarter after Washington opened competitive possession exchanges. The Heat led 34-23 after one quarter and expanded the margin to 72-52 at halftime while shooting 63.2% in the first half.
Washington responded with a third-quarter push, cutting the deficit to 92-82 late in the period. However, Jaime Jaquez Jr. closed the frame with seven consecutive points during a 13-3 run to restore Miami’s double-digit cushion.
Miami’s scoring depth remained consistent despite playing without Norman Powell and Tyler Herro due to injuries. Pelle Larsson and Simone Fontecchio maintained shot creation roles across multiple scoring stretches.
The Heat completed a 4-0 season series against Washington, averaging 143.5 points per game across the matchups. Adebayo also continued strong production against the Wizards, including a 83-point performance in their March meeting and a season average of 34.8 points versus Washington.
Miami improved its position ahead of the postseason play-in stage, a spot already secured for a fourth consecutive year. Washington will close its season on the road against Cleveland, while Miami finishes the regular season at home against Atlanta.
