Anadolu Efes Istanbul delivered one of its most complete performances of the season on Friday night, defeating Dubai Basketball 85-69 at Zetra Arena in Sarajevo to close the EuroLeague double-round week with authority.
The Turkish club controlled the game from the second quarter onward and never allowed Dubai to fully recover, securing its fifth road victory of the campaign.
Rodrigue Beaubois led the charge with a season-high 18 points and five rebounds, knocking down three of his four attempts from long range and providing steady scoring when Efes stretched the margin.
After a competitive opening quarter, Efes found its rhythm in the second period. The visitors connected on 6-of-11 three-point attempts in the quarter and built an 18-point cushion by halftime through disciplined ball movement and efficient shot selection.
Dubai attempted to rally in the fourth quarter, briefly trimming the deficit to around five points, but Efes quickly reestablished control by slowing the pace and executing in the half court.
Ball circulation remained a major factor throughout the night as Efes finished with 24 assists distributed across eight different players.
Five players scored in double figures for coach Pablo Laso’s team. Jordan Loyd and Sehmus Hazer added 13 points each, consistently attacking the rim, while PJ Dozier contributed 10 points in a balanced offensive effort.
Defensively, Kai Jones anchored the paint for Efes. The center recorded five blocks and grabbed seven rebounds while also scoring seven points, providing interior protection that disrupted Dubai’s attempts to attack the basket.
Dubai struggled offensively, particularly from long distance. The team shot just 4-of-21 from three-point range and could not generate sustained momentum against Efes’ defense.
Dzanan Musa led the hosts with 13 points, while Aleksa Avramovic added 12 and Mfiondu Kabengele finished with 11. However, Dubai shot 40.8 percent from two-point range and never matched the visitors’ efficiency.
Efes will conclude its EuroLeague season on April 17 against Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens. Dubai will face Valencia Basket on the same day as it tries to stay in the race for a play-in position.
