The Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards will face off at Capital One Arena on Thursday, April 9 at 7:00 PM ET, with both teams dealing with multiple injuries.

Chicago comes off a dominant 129-98 win in Washington two nights ago, while the Wizards are seeking to snap a seven-game losing streak.

The Bulls will be without Matas Buzelis, Zach Collins, Noa Essengue, Josh Giddey, Nick Richards, Anfernee Simons, and Jalen Smith due to injuries ranging from surgery to strains and fractures. Key contributors such as Collin Sexton, Patrick Williams, and Lachlan Olbrich are listed as probable, with Isaac Okoro remaining questionable. Sexton, averaging 17.2 points per game, is expected to play despite a right finger mallet injury.

Washington’s roster is similarly affected, with Trae Young, D’Angelo Russell, Cam Whitmore, Tristan Vukcevic, Alex Sarr, Anthony Davis, and Kyshawn George all sidelined. Questionable players include Justin Champagnie, Bilal Coulibaly, Anthony Gill, Jaden Hardy, and Tre Johnson, limiting the Wizards’ options in the backcourt and frontcourt.

Chicago’s depth will be tested without Giddey, who leads the team with 9.1 assists per game, and Buzelis, contributing 16.3 points and 5.8 rebounds. Probable players Sexton, Olbrich, and Williams will be critical to maintaining scoring and rebounding efficiency.

The Wizards, struggling at 17-62, have lost seven straight games and are last in the Eastern Conference. They face a depleted lineup that includes four starters out due to injuries, impacting both scoring and defensive matchups. Their recent performance includes a 98-129 home loss to the Bulls and a 115-121 loss to the Nets.
