The Detroit Pistons and Philadelphia 76ers enter Saturday night’s matchup at Xfinity Mobile Arena with major names missing from the injury report. Detroit is listed with Cade Cunningham out and several rotation questions, while Philadelphia will again play without Joel Embiid.

For Detroit, Cunningham remains out with a left lung pneumothorax, which leaves the Pistons without their leading scorer and primary playmaker. Jalen Duren is questionable with an illness, Tobias Harris is questionable with a left knee contusion, and Chaz Lanier is questionable on G League assignment.

The rest of Detroit’s report includes Isaac Jones out on a two-way G League assignment, Bobi Klintman out on G League assignment, Wendell Moore Jr. out on a two-way G League assignment, Marcus Sasser available with a right hip strain, and Isaiah Stewart out with a left calf strain. That is a long list for a first-place team, and it puts more responsibility on the Pistons’ depth to manage the game in the half court.

Philadelphia’s report is shorter but still significant. Johni Broome is out while recovering from right knee surgery, Embiid is out with a right oblique issue, injury management and illness, Paul George is probable with left knee injury management, and Tyrese Maxey is available despite a right finger tendon strain and splint.

Maxey’s availability matters most for the 76ers because he has carried the offense all season. With Embiid unavailable, Philadelphia will need more downhill pressure from Maxey and a clean shooting night from George if it wants to match Detroit’s pace and physicality.

The matchup has already leaned Detroit’s way this season, with the Pistons winning all three meetings.
