EA7 Emporio Armani Milan added a proven scorer to its backcourt by inking combo guard Ricky Hickman, who signed a deal with the reigning Italian League champion on Tuesday.

Hickman (1.89 meters, 30 years old) won the 2014 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague title with Maccabi Tel Aviv and was chosen to the All-EuroLeague second team that same season.

He arrives from Fenerbahce Istanbul, where he played for the last two years, helping his team to reach the Final Four in consecutive seasons and win a double – league and cup titles – a few months back.

Last season, Hickman returned from an eight-month rehab after tearing his Achilles tendon, and posted 4.6 points and 1.3 assists in 20 games, mostlt coming off the bench.

In his four EuroLeague campaigns – two each with Maccabi and Fenerbahce – Hickman has played 94 games and has career averages of 10.4 points, 2.4 assists and 2.3 rebounds.

He has taken a longer road to stardom, however, as he began his professional career with PVSK Pecs of Hungary and played for CS Otopeni Bucurest of Romania and BG 74 Goettingen of the German second division.

After moving to Giessen 46ers of Germany and Namika Lahti of Finland, Hickman went to Italy for stints with Junior Casale of the second division and Scavolini Pesaro in the country’s top flight.

He joined Maccabi and made his EuroLeague debut in 2012, and was the club’s leading scorer there during its run to EuroLeague glory, earning himself All-Euroleague Second Team honors. He also helped Maccabi win a Israeli League title and lifted two Israeli Cup trophies in his two seasons with the club.

Hickman has also played for the Georgian national team at EuroBasket 2013.
