Despite reports suggesting he may re-sign with Golden State, Kristaps Porzingis stopped short of committing to the Warriors following Thursday’s loss to Cleveland.
The veteran center is extension-eligible and could become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
“It’s hard to say,” Porzingis said. “Of course, it would be nice for me to go ahead and say, ‘Yes, I want to continue here,’ and this and that.
“But the reality is I didn’t have a good year at all. I barely showed what I’m capable of. And so I have to see what’s out there.”
Porzingis has been limited to 29 games this season due to injuries, averaging a career-low 24.0 minutes, though he has remained productive when on the court.
The Latvian big man has played 10 seasons for 6 teams, including the Mavericks and Knicks. He has averaged 19.5 points and 7.6 rebounds in 530 regular-season games.
He was selected to play in 1 All-Star game, and has won 1 NBA championship.
