The Phoenix Suns have been struggling recently, and the slump appears to be affecting star guard Devin Booker, as Doug Haller of The Athletic reports.
Former coach Earl Watson noted a visible change in Booker’s demeanor during this stretch.
“I’ve been around Book a long time,” Watson said. “You can just see in his face when something is wrong.”
Haller adds that there was a noticeable disconnect between Booker and the team following their fifth consecutive loss, which came against the Milwaukee Bucks.
While Booker continues to carry a heavy load, the Suns are running out of time to secure a guaranteed playoff spot, currently sitting seventh in the Western Conference with a 39-32 record.
Booker has played 11 seasons for the Suns. He has averaged 24.5 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.0 rebounds in 729 regular-season games.
He was selected to play in 4 All-Star games.
