The Detroit Pistons defeated the Golden State Warriors 115-101 on Friday night in a game missing two of the NBA”s biggest stars.

Jalen Duren led the Pistons with 23 points, Daniss Jenkins had 22 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds, and Paul Reed added 15.

Detroit beat the Warriors in the first matchup of the season between the teams on Jan. 30, but that was the last game Stephen Curry (knee) has played this season, while Cade Cunningham (chest) has joined him for an extended absence.

Meanwhile, the Warriors’ injury situation got worse in the first half when Kristaps Porzingis left the game with lower back soreness.

Brandin Podziemski led Golden State with 15 points, which has lost seven of eight and turned the ball over 26 times, giving the Pistons 32 points.

The Warriors trailed by 14 going into the fourth quarter, and with Detroit playing the second game of a back-to-back while starting one, both coaches went to their benchers early.

The Pistons had a cold shooting in the first half of 23.1%, but forced 13 turnovers to the Warriors and led 57-50 at halftime.

Detroit went 1 for 4 on three, and the Golden State turned the ball over six more times and expanded the margin to 87-63.
