Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves poured in 42 points on Friday, helping his team snap its losing streak, but the night included a brief injury scare late in the game, Sam Amick of The Athletic reports.

In the final minute, Edwards collided with Golden State’s LJ Cryer and immediately reached for his right knee.

Despite the moment of concern, Edwards later reassured reporters that the issue wasn’t serious.

“I’m good.”

Head coach Chris Finch explained that Edwards was still on the floor at that stage because the team hadn’t managed to fully close out the Warriors.

Finch used the situation to highlight a recurring issue he has seen from his group this season.

“I just told the team (that) it’s a bit of a microcosm of our season,” the coach said. “We can play well. We do the right things, get rewarded for it. Then (we) just completely lose focus, downshift a gear or two.

“They got back into it, and we stopped making the extra effort defensively for sure, had to regroup. And that’s been, unfortunately, part of our DNA.”
