The Boston Celtics are converting two-way guard Max Shulga to a standard NBA contract that will run for two years.
The agreement will cover the rest of the current season as well as next season.
Boston needed to add two players to standard deals by Sunday to comply with NBA roster rules, which require teams to carry at least 14 players on standard contracts.
To meet that requirement, the Celtics are also bringing in Charles Bassey on a 10-day contract, bringing the roster total back up to 14 players.
Shulga has spent the season with the Maine Celtics in the G League, where he has appeared in 36 games.
During that stretch, he has averaged 15.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
He has also been active from beyond the arc, shooting 36.7% while attempting 6.7 three-pointers per game.
