The Golden State Warriors have signed center Omer Yurtseven to a 10-day contract, NBA insider Shams Charania reported Saturday. The move comes as the team deals with multiple injuries, including Stephen Curry’s knee issue sidelining him for at least one more week.
Yurtseven, 27, joined the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the G League last week after a stint in the EuroLeague, posting 23 points and 13.3 rebounds over three games. He scored 36 points and grabbed 12 boards in Friday’s contest, shooting 56.9% from the field and 87.5% from the free-throw line.
The seven-footer spent the first part of 2025-26 in Europe with Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, averaging 6.3 points and 3.5 rebounds in 12 minutes per game over 19 EuroLeague appearances. He also shot 63.5% on two-pointers and 80.6% from the free-throw line.
Yurtseven brings NBA experience from three seasons with Miami and Utah, averaging 5.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks in 11.8 minutes across 113 games. His size and finishing ability provide Golden State with an option in the frontcourt while veteran players recover.
The Warriors enter the stretch run at 32-34, ninth in the Western Conference, facing rotations impacted by injuries to Jimmy Butler (torn ACL), Draymond Green (injury management), and Moses Moody (wrist). Remaining contributors include Kristaps Porzingis, De’Anthony Melton, Brandin Podziemski, and Al Horford.
