Veteran Ricky Hickman has had a physical with EA7 Milano and is on the verge of signing a rumoured two-year deal with the Italian champions.

Hickman spent last season with Fenerbahce but the broader picture saw that the American, who also holds a Georgian passport did not recapture the form at Maccabi, which saw him labelled as one of Europe’s most prominent scorers.

The 30-year-old has experience playing in Italy, with spells at Casale and Pesaro before he moved to Maccabi in 2012.

The American won the Euroleague title with the Israeli powerhouse in 2014.

He averaged 13.5 and 12.2 points in his two seasons at Maccabi. Unfortunately for Hickman, the scoring numbers dropped and he averaged just 4.6 points in an injury-hampered year.

A move to Italy will hopefully give Hickman the second chance he is craving.
