Dubai Basketball strengthened its push toward the EuroLeague postseason on Thursday with a 100-94 victory over Baskonia at Zetra Arena in Sarajevo.

The win marked Dubai’s fifth consecutive victory and improved the club’s record to 16-14 in its first EuroLeague season, keeping it within reach of the playoff positions entering the final stretch of the regular season.

Playing as the home team in Bosnia and Herzegovina due to regional circumstances, Dubai received strong support from fans in Sarajevo and controlled most of the contest.

The hosts established rhythm early and dictated the tempo for much of the night, building a lead that reached 93-73 with four minutes remaining.

Despite that advantage, Baskonia mounted a late run that cut the deficit to 98-94, briefly threatening to erase what had been a comfortable margin.

The comeback attempt ended at the buzzer when Dzanan Musa banked in a final shot to seal the victory and ignite the crowd at Zetra Arena.

Musa finished with 19 points and seven rebounds as part of a balanced scoring effort that featured several key contributors.

Dwayne Bacon led Dubai with 23 points and consistently attacked Baskonia’s defense off the dribble.

Mfiondu Kabengele added 17 points and six rebounds, while Filip Petrusev and McKinley Wright IV each scored 11.

Dubai shot efficiently inside the arc, finishing 30-of-57 on two-point attempts and collecting 44 rebounds while recording 17 assists.

Baskonia dropped to 9-22 after its sixth consecutive defeat despite a standout performance from Mamadi Diakite.

Diakite produced 27 points and 12 rebounds, providing a consistent interior presence throughout the game.

Eugene Omoruyi added 18 points and Kobi Simmons scored 14, but the visitors struggled from long range.

Markus Howard was limited to nine points and shot 1-of-9 from three-point range as Dubai’s perimeter defense forced difficult attempts.

Dubai will visit FC Bayern Munich on March 19, while Baskonia travels to face Olympiacos Piraeus the same day.
