Anfernee Simons will consult a hand specialist after the Bulls wrap up their current road trip, Joe Cowley of The Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Chicago visits the Clippers on Thursday and the Lakers on Friday before returning home for Monday’s game against Memphis.

Head coach Billy Donovan said Simons was able to take part in Tuesday’s shootaround, getting up some shots, but he continues to deal with pain – especially when catching passes and dribbling.

Acquired from Boston ahead of the trade deadline, Simons played six games for Chicago before aggravating an ulnar styloid fracture in his left wrist on February 21.

He initially suffered the injury during training camp with the Celtics.

Donovan previously said surgery was not being considered, though it could become an option after the season if the issue lingers.

Simons has missed the Bulls’ last eight games and is set to miss at least two more.

The former first-round pick is earning $27.7MM in the final year of his contract and could become an unrestricted free agent this summer if he does not sign an extension.

In 55 games this season, he has averaged 14.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 24.9 minutes per contest while posting .440/.385/.896 shooting splits.
