The Jazz have added free agent forward Andersson Garcia on a 10-day deal. Garcia, who is from the Dominican Republic, entered the professional ranks undrafted in 2025 after completing his college career at Texas A&M.

He spent five seasons in college basketball overall, playing his first two years at Mississippi State before transferring to Texas A&M for his final three seasons.

During the 2023/24 campaign, Garcia came off the bench for the Aggies and led the SEC with 9.1 rebounds per game, earning a spot on the conference’s All-Defense team.

Across his final two collegiate seasons, he posted averages of 6.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting .518 from the field, .403 from three-point range, and .702 at the free-throw line in 26.5 minutes per game.

This season, Garcia has been playing for the Mexico City Capitanes, the NBA G League’s only independent team.

Over 35 appearances in 2025/26, the 25-year-old has averaged 10.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.4 steals in 25.3 minutes per contest, posting shooting splits of .547/.267/.691.

Garcia can appear in up to five games for Utah during the 10-day agreement and will be paid $73,153. The contract is set to expire on March 20.

Utah had an available spot on its standard roster, so no corresponding move was required to finalize the signing.
