The New Orleans Pelicans have signed center Josh Oduro to a two-way contract, NBA insider Shams Charania reported on March 4. Oduro joins the Pelicans from the franchise’s Birmingham G League affiliate after averaging 12.5 points and 6.3 rebounds in 26.8 minutes over 11 games this season.
Oduro, 25, has shown efficiency on the floor, shooting 55.1% from the field while adding 1.3 free throws per game at a 66.7% rate. He also contributes defensively, averaging 1.1 steals, 1.0 block, and 6.3 rebounds per contest.
This marks Oduro’s second full G League season after posting 9.7 points and 7.6 rebounds per game in 2024-25.
The Pelicans currently sit 13th in the Western Conference with a 19-44 record, including 11-21 at home and 8-23 on the road. Oduro joins a roster led by Zion Williamson and Trey Murphy III, who are averaging 21.5 and 22.0 points per game, respectively, while Derik Queen anchors the team’s starting center position with 12.0 points and 7.2 rebounds in 25.6 minutes per game.
The two-way contract allows Oduro to split time between the NBA and G League, giving the Pelicans flexibility while developing his game alongside veterans.
