The Suns have re-signed forward CJ Huntley to a two-way contract, the team announced today, bringing him back into the organization after previously parting ways earlier in the season.
ESPN’s Shams Charania was the first to report that the two sides had reached a new two-way agreement.
Phoenix created an opening for Huntley by promoting Jamaree Bouyea to the standard 15-man roster earlier in the day, allowing the team to add another developmental player on a two-way deal.
Huntley entered the NBA as an undrafted prospect last year following his college career at Appalachian State.
He initially signed a two-way contract with Phoenix soon after the draft but was waived in mid-November when the team needed roster space for Bouyea.
Before being released, Huntley did not appear in an NBA game.
Afterward, he joined the Suns’ G League affiliate, the Valley Suns, where he has earned consistent minutes and expanded his role.
Across 38 games, Huntley has averaged 14.5 points and 7.6 rebounds while playing 26.1 minutes per contest.
Huntley spent all five of his collegiate seasons at Appalachian State, and during the 2024/25 campaign he posted averages of 15.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while shooting 49.3 percent from the field and 35.6 percent from three-point range.
