Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown expressed admiration for Neemias Queta’s growth following Sunday’s 114-98 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. “I wouldn’t say surprised. I’m happy though. I’m very pleased to see his progression. He’s been working hard all season long… I think he has another level that he can tap into,” Brown said.

Brown highlighted Queta’s impact in the win. “Their big was up on those screens so we just trusted him in the seam and he made the right play every single time. He had some nice up and unders in the seam… that helped us propel us to a win,” he explained.

Reflecting on Queta’s performance, Brown admitted there were moments that impressed the bench. “Those finishes are not something we’ve seen from Neemy… he converted them tonight and it looked good,” he said.

Brown also praised Baylor Scheierman’s resilience despite injury. “Baylor’s been balling on both ends. He’s taking matchups with some of the best opposing guards, not giving them easy fouls, and his offensive rebounding has been great… he’s a smart, all-around player,” Brown noted.

Regarding Nikola Vucevic, Brown emphasized his continued growth. “I like how aggressive he was… he’s a big threat for our team. Rebounding and making plays in the team are big for us. Last game it was Vucevic, this game it was Neemy… continuing to encourage that is important,” he said.

On the Celtics’ offensive efficiency, Brown credited ball movement. “Just making the right play, moving the basketball… our offense has a good flow right now. Going from side to side, not sticking too much… we create an advantage and trust the game after that,” he explained.

Looking at the team’s identity late in the season, Brown reflected, “Early in the season we were figuring things out… we get Vucevic, and our identity shifts a little. We’ve done a good job being unselfish, playing Celtic basketball. Tonight was a team win… everybody did their part.”

Brown’s comments underline the Celtics’ commitment to development, teamwork, and execution as they improved to 40-20. Queta and Vucevic continue to provide interior dominance, while Scheierman’s effort despite injury demonstrates the team’s depth.
