The Minnesota Timberwolves are set to add Zyon Pullin to their roster on a two-way contract, NBA insider Michael Scotto reported on Sunday, March 1. Pullin has been a standout performer for the Iowa Wolves in the G League, averaging 23.8 points, 5.8 assists, and 3.2 rebounds while shooting 56% from the field and 49% from three-point range.
Pullin, 24, has shown efficiency and scoring versatility this season, logging 34.7 minutes per game across 11 contests with Iowa. His performance includes 86.4% from the free-throw line and 58.1% overall shooting, indicating readiness for NBA-level minutes. This follows a 2024–25 G League season with the Santa Cruz Warriors, where he averaged 9.0 points and 4.1 rebounds over 17 games.
In the NBA, Pullin appeared in three games with the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2024–25 season but did not register significant stats.
Minnesota is currently 37-23, tied with Denver for the fifth seed in the Western Conference. Anthony Edwards leads the team with 29.6 points per game, while Julius Randle and Jaden McDaniels provide frontcourt scoring and rebounding.
Pullin’s addition gives the Timberwolves a scoring guard capable of contributing immediately in the G League and potentially in rotation minutes at the NBA level.
The move also strengthens the Timberwolves’ flexibility with two-way contracts, allowing Pullin to gain experience while maintaining eligibility between Iowa and Minnesota.
