James Borrego has taken an aggressive approach since becoming the New Orleans Pelicans’ interim head coach, rather than coaching cautiously after replacing Willie Green, writes Rod Walker of NOLA.com.

Walker notes that Borrego has shown a willingness to make daring lineup adjustments, such as giving rookie Derik Queen a starting role while moving high-salaried veteran Jordan Poole to the bench for much of the season.

“There are no egos,” said Dejounte Murray, who has taken over Queen’s spot in the starting lineup during his first two games back after recovering from an Achilles tear.

“Nobody is pouting. We have young guys who were starting. They went to the bench and took it like they should take it. I give a lot of credit to them for that. We are all here to win and longevity is the key for everybody.”
