The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Miami Heat 124-117 to win three straight on Thursday night.

Tyrese Maxey broke Allen Iverson’s 76ers franchise record for three pointers, finishing with five 3s and 28 points, and 11 assists. Joel Embiid tallied 26 points and 11 boards, while Kelly Oubre added 21 points.

On the other hand, Bam Adebayo had 29 points and 14 rebounds, while Tyler Herro scored 25 for the Heat, and they lost two straight.

Maxey came in with 882 three-pointers, three behind Iverson, and broke the record with 1:38 left in the first quarter.

The All-Star guard made all of his three-pointers and scored 20 in the first quarter alone, also becoming his career high for a period. He finished 5 of 12 beyond the arc.

The Heat took its first lead of the game on a three by Herro with 2:44 left, but did not score again.

Oubre hit a three together with Maxey hitting two free throws to put the Sixers back ahead 121-117. Embiid extended the lead on a three with 29.2 seconds remaining.

Philadelphia led 73-57 at halftime, but the Heat rallied to tie it late in the third quarter, and the magic was within single digits the rest of the way.

The Heat host the Rockets on Saturday, while the 76ers play at Boston on Sunday night.
