Jusuf Nurkic will be sidelined for the rest of the 2025-26 season after undergoing surgery on his nose, bringing an early end to his campaign with the Utah Jazz.
The veteran center joined Utah last offseason following a trade from the Charlotte Hornets, where he had previously spent time as part of their frontcourt rotation.
Before the injury, Nurkic appeared in 41 games for the Jazz and played a significant role in the team’s lineup.
He averaged 10.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists while logging 26.4 minutes per game, contributing as both a rebounder and facilitator from the center position.
With the season now cut short, Nurkic’s focus shifts toward recovery as he approaches free agency this summer.
The 31-year-old is playing on an expiring contract, meaning he will be eligible to sign with any team once the offseason begins.
Nurkic is represented by agent Rich Paul, and his upcoming free agency will likely depend on both his recovery timeline and teams’ needs for an experienced interior presence.
