The Sacramento Kings will enter Monday’s clash at FedExForum without key contributors, including Zach LaVine, Domantas Sabonis, Dylan Cardwell, and De’Andre Hunter, all sidelined due to injuries. LaVine is recovering from right fifth finger tendon repair, Sabonis is out with left knee meniscus surgery, Cardwell is dealing with a left ankle sprain, and Hunter is unavailable following left eye retinal repair. Isaiah Stevens remains inactive as a two-way G League player.
Memphis faces an even deeper injury list as it hosts Sacramento, with Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cedric Coward, Zach Edey, Santi Aldama, and Kyle Anderson all listed either out or doubtful. Morant is sidelined with a left elbow UCL sprain, while Clarke is recovering from a right calf strain. Caldwell-Pope is unavailable after right fifth finger surgery, Coward has a right knee posterior capsule sprain, Edey is out with a left ankle stress reaction, Aldama is managing a right knee injury, and Anderson is listed as doubtful with soreness in the right knee.
The Kings are currently last in the Western Conference at 12-46 and have lost 16 consecutive games, including back-to-back defeats to the Orlando Magic (94-131) and San Antonio Spurs (122-139).
Sacramento is led by DeMar DeRozan’s 18.6 points and 3.8 assists per contest. Keegan Murray contributes 14.9 points and 6.0 rebounds, while Russell Westbrook adds 15.0 points and 6.4 assists per game.
Memphis sits 11th in the West with a 21-34 record and is coming off a 120-136 loss at the Miami Heat, following a 123-114 win over the Utah Jazz.
Jaylen Wells leads the team with 12.4 points per game, and Edey averages 13.6 points and 11.1 rebounds, though he will be sidelined Monday. Morant’s absence removes the Grizzlies’ primary playmaker, who averages 19.5 points and 8.1 assists.
In their previous three meetings this season, Memphis swept the Kings, including a 137-96 win at home in November.
