Warriors center Kristaps Porzingis will miss Sunday afternoon’s game against Denver due to what the team described as a general illness, according to Anthony Slater of ESPN.

As Slater notes, Porzingis practiced the previous two days and was expected to see a slight increase in playing time after logging 17 minutes in his Warriors debut on Thursday.

Head coach Steve Kerr said Sunday that he received a message earlier in the day informing him Porzingis was sick and would not be at the arena, via Nick Friedell of The Athletic.

His status for Golden State’s upcoming two-game road trip remains unclear, Friedell adds.

Availability has been an ongoing issue for Porzingis this season, as he has appeared in just 18 of 56 games in 2025/26.

When healthy, the former All-Star has averaged 16.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.3 steals in 23.9 minutes per game, though injuries and health concerns contributed to Atlanta’s decision to trade him to Golden State.

Porzingis was diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) late last season and expressed optimism in the fall about managing the condition.

He is earning $30.7MM this year and could become an unrestricted free agent this summer if he does not sign an extension before the new league year.
