
Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors acknowledged feeling frustrated by his ongoing knee issue but said his primary focus remains on recovering quickly and getting back on the court.
Speaking with Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area, the Warriors star emphasized that his priority is returning in time to be fully effective when the postseason begins.
“The goal is to be healthy come playoff time and be available when it matters most,” Curry said (Twitter video link).
“Obviously, I’d love to be playing right now. If you’re healthy, you’re able to play. I’m headed in the right direction and hopefully it won’t be too much longer.”
Curry has played 17 seasons for the Warriors. He has averaged 24.8 points, 6.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds in 1,065 regular-season games.
He was selected to play in 11 All-Star games. He has won 2 MVP awards, 1 Finals MVP award, and 4 NBA championships.
