The Portland Trail Blazers have signed forward Sidy Cissoko to a new two-year contract, ESPN insider Shams Charania reported on Friday, citing agents Max Wiepking and Nicolas Dos Santos of Gersh Sports. The move converts the 21-year-old from a two-way player after he spent the majority of the 2025-26 season with the team.
Cissoko appeared in 50 games, starting 24, and averaged 6.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 22.3 minutes per game. He shot 40.8% from the field and 32.7% from three, showing improved scoring efficiency while contributing as a rotational forward.
The Blazers currently sit ninth in the Western Conference with a 27-29 record. Portland has leaned on young talent this season, including 22-year-old Shaedon Sharpe, who is averaging 21.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game, and 25-year-old Deni Avdija, producing 25.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per contest. Cissoko’s development adds depth to a forward rotation already featuring Jerami Grant, Toumani Camara, and Kris Murray.
Cissoko used up his two-way eligibility during the season, a signal the Blazers saw enough potential to secure him under a standard NBA contract.
Since joining the Blazers, Cissoko has shown consistency in playing time and production compared with limited stints in San Antonio and two other teams in his rookie season. His 22.3 minutes per game rank among the higher averages for a young rotational forward in Portland’s roster.
