Stephen Curry will not be available when the Golden State Warriors return to action Thursday against Boston, according to Nick Friedell of The Athletic.

Head coach Steve Kerr told reporters that Curry was unable to take part in Wednesday’s practice and was scheduled to be reevaluated by the team’s medical staff later in the day.

The player has been out since January 30 due to patellofemoral pain syndrome, commonly referred to as runner’s knee.

Although he withdrew from the All-Star Game, there had been optimism that the extended break would allow enough recovery time for him to return.

Kerr added that Curry could undergo another MRI to better understand the source of the ongoing discomfort, Friedell reports.

Curry informed the coach that something in the knee still doesn’t feel right, and he did not feel ready to attempt a full workout.
