The Washington Wizards are signing guard Alondes Williams to a 10-day contract from the Capital City Go-Go, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania on Monday, February 16.

Charania reported that Williams’ agent, Daniel Hazan, confirmed the deal, adding that the guard enters his fourth NBA season after appearing in nine games across the previous three years.

The 26-year-old has been productive in the G League this season with Capital City, averaging 21.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 35.2 minutes per game over 10 appearances. He is shooting 42.3% from the field and 32.2% from three while attempting 8.7 triples per contest.

Williams earned G League All-Star honors and has consistently handled a high-usage role, which aligns with Washington’s need for perimeter scoring and secondary playmaking.

At the NBA level, his opportunities have been limited. Across stints with the Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons from 2022 to 2025, Williams has played nine total games, averaging 1.1 points in 2.8 minutes per outing.

His most recent NBA appearance came during the 2024-25 season with Detroit, when he scored five points in four minutes and shot 2-for-2 from the field, including 1-for-1 from three.

Washington previously signed Williams to an Exhibit 10 contract on October 13, 2025, before he returned to the Go-Go. His strong G League campaign created a pathway back to the parent club.

The Wizards enter Monday at 14-39, 15th in the Eastern Conference standings. The roster has been impacted by injuries, including Trae Young and Anthony Davis, both acquired in separate moves but yet to debut this season.

Alex Sarr leads the team with 17.2 points and 7.8 rebounds, while Kyshawn George adds 15.1 points and 4.8 assists. Williams projects as a depth option in a backcourt that includes Bub Carrington, Tre Johnson and Bilal Coulibaly.

A 10-day contract provides Washington with a low-risk evaluation window. For Williams, it represents another opportunity to translate G League efficiency into sustained NBA minutes.
