The Washington Wizards have added another guard to their roster, reaching an agreement with Alondes Williams, according to Chris Haynes.
Williams, 26, has spent the past three seasons moving between the NBA and the G League. His journey has included stints with the Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat, and Detroit Pistons, along with extended runs for their respective affiliates.
This season, the 6-foot-4 guard has played for both the Sioux Falls Skyforce and Motor City Cruise. Across 45 G League appearances in 2024–25, Williams has averaged 18.7 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game.
His efficiency has also stood out. Williams is shooting 47.3 percent from the field and nearly 80 percent from the free-throw line. Although his 3-point percentage sits at 31.3, he has shown the willingness to take over five attempts per contest, providing perimeter spacing.
Williams’ lone NBA minutes this year came with Detroit, where he scored five points in one game. He previously appeared in seven games for Miami during the 2023–24 campaign.
The former Wake Forest standout first entered the league undrafted in 2022 before signing a two-way deal with Brooklyn. Since then, he has carved out a role as a reliable G League scorer, earning multiple call-ups along the way.
