Ron Harper Sr. recently shared the court with his sons, Ron Harper Jr. and Dylan Harper, during the Shooting Stars event and expressed satisfaction with where Dylan has begun his NBA career, according to Tom Orsborn (Twitter link).

Although Dylan, the No. 2 overall pick in the draft, may have received a bigger immediate role with another franchise, his father believes San Antonio provides the right situation for long-term development.

“I think the Spurs are a first-class place,” Harper Sr. said.

“He has a chance to learn the ball game and play with some very good basketball players there. And if they keep continuing to build as a basketball club, they will have a chance.”

Harper has played 1 season for the Spurs. He has averaged 10.9 points, 3.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 43 regular-season games.
