The Indiana Pacers remain active in the market for a center as the trade deadline approaches, with Ivica Zubac and Daniel Gafford emerging as primary targets.

Indiana is motivated to add a big man now in order to stabilize the roster ahead of Tyrese Haliburton’s anticipated return from a torn Achilles during the 2026-27 season.

Zubac continues to be highly regarded by the Los Angeles Clippers, who are holding firm to a significant asking price.

He is under contract through the 2027-28 season after signing a three-year, $58.6 million extension in 2024 and is viewed league-wide as one of the best value contracts among starting-caliber centers.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks are reportedly seeking a first-round pick in any deal involving Gafford, who agreed to a three-year, $54 million extension last July.

Indiana has been operating without a long-term answer at center since losing Myles Turner to the Milwaukee Bucks in free agency last offseason.
