Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said he doesn’t anticipate any trades being finalized until very close to the February 5 deadline, according to Eden Collier of NBC Sports Bay Area.

Kerr explained that he remains in constant communication with general manager Mike Dunleavy, but so far there hasn’t been any concrete progress on potential deals.

“I talk to Mike (Dunleavy) pretty much every day, and he keeps me up to speed,” he said on 95.7 The Game’s Steiny and Guru show.

“But honestly, what he told me the other day was that everything’s going to go ’til the last second. There literally hasn’t been a single thing where he’s called me and said, ‘So-and-so offered this or that.’ Not one thing. … It’s all speculation at this point. It’s going to go down to the wire.”

While trade talks appear quiet for now, Golden State’s front office has remained active elsewhere.

Multiple Warriors executives, including Dunleavy and assistant general manager Larry Harris, were in New Zealand on Friday evaluating NBL prospects Karim Lopez and Dash Daniels, according to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc.

Both players are viewed as possible first-round selections in an upcoming draft.
