Giannis Antetokounmpo has reportedly kept the Minnesota Timberwolves among the teams he would consider playing for since last offseason, according to sources speaking to The Stein Line.

The possibility of joining forces with Anthony Edwards is said to be particularly appealing to him. Antetokounmpo is also believed to feel the same level of interest in the idea of pairing with Tyrese Maxey and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Minnesota’s challenge is the limited amount of future draft assets it can include in a deal, meaning the Timberwolves would likely need another franchise to place significant value on Jaden McDaniels to help assemble a trade package strong enough to compete with offers the Milwaukee Bucks might receive elsewhere.

President of basketball operations Tim Connelly has a reputation as one of the league’s more aggressive decision-makers, highlighted by past trades for Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle.

The Timberwolves also explored a move for Kevin Durant last year, showing a willingness to pursue blockbuster opportunities.

If Milwaukee delays any Antetokounmpo trade until the offseason, Minnesota could potentially unlock two additional first-round picks to strengthen a future proposal.

Meanwhile, sources indicate the Sixers have not yet reached out to the Bucks regarding a possible Antetokounmpo deal.
