Paul Pierce is facing a paternity lawsuit from a woman who claims he is the father of her unborn child and is seeking a DNA test to confirm it.
Princess Santiago, a Los Angeles-based event director, filed the suit on January 12, according to documents obtained by TMZ Sports.
She is asking the court to require Pierce, 48, to undergo genetic testing to establish paternity.
“I filed for paternity papers after multiple attempts to resolve this privately,” Santiago said in a statement. “Paul Pierce is the father of my son, King, and I am simply asking for a paternity test so the truth can be confirmed.”
“This isn’t about drama or attention – it’s about accountability and doing what’s right for my child.”
Pierce’s attorney declined to comment on the case. The filing comes amid other recent legal issues for the former Boston Celtics star.
In October 2024, Pierce was arrested on suspicion of DUI and later charged after authorities said his blood alcohol content was above the legal limit.
Pierce pleaded not guilty and later suggested on social media that the incident was due to being “old” and “tired” while sitting in traffic.
No hearing has been scheduled yet in the paternity case.
