The Toronto Raptors are reportedly open to moving RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, or Jakob Poeltl ahead of the 2026 trade deadline, TSN’s Josh Lewenberg reported. Exploratory discussions suggest Barrett could be included in deals aimed at improving financial flexibility and balancing the roster.
Barrett, 25, is in the third year of a four-year, $107 million deal and has averaged 19.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists over 23 games this season. Quickley, 26, contributes 16.9 points and 6.3 assists in 32.5 minutes per game, while Poeltl, 30, has posted 9.7 points and 7.7 rebounds across 21 contests.
The Raptors’ front office faces salary constraints, and moving one of these contracts could create cap space for future acquisitions. Barrett’s scoring versatility and floor-spacing ability make him a valuable asset, while Quickley’s playmaking and Poeltl’s rim protection offer trade appeal for contending teams.
Toronto currently holds a 26-19 record, placing fourth in the Eastern Conference. Brandon Ingram and Scottie Barnes remain central to the Raptors’ rotation, but the team seeks flexibility to strengthen its roster ahead of the playoff push.
Potential trades could include a combination of Barrett, Quickley, and Poeltl to match salaries in a deal. Teams in need of scoring, perimeter shooting, or frontcourt depth are expected to monitor these developments closely.
