The Chicago Bulls visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday, January 22, at 8:00 p.m. ET from Target Center. Chicago sits ninth in the Eastern Conference at 21-22, while Minnesota holds seventh in the Western Conference at 27-17.

The Bulls will be without Zach Collins (right toe sprain), Noa Essengue (left shoulder surgery), Yuki Kawamura, and Emanuel Miller, both G League two-way players. Josh Giddey is questionable with a left hamstring strain, and Patrick Williams is listed as questionable with a right ankle sprain.

Chicago’s offense relies on Nikola Vucevic, who averages 17.0 points and 9.1 rebounds per game, and Josh Giddey, who contributes 19.2 points and 9.0 assists. Coby White adds 18.5 points per game, while Matas Buzelis provides 15.0 points and 5.1 rebounds.

Minnesota is missing Terrence Shannon Jr. (left foot strain) and G League player Rocco Zikarsky.

The Timberwolves depend on Anthony Edwards for scoring, averaging 29.9 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, while Julius Randle contributes 22.4 points and 7.0 rebounds. Rudy Gobert provides a strong interior presence with 11.4 rebounds per game.

Chicago enters the matchup on a two-game winning streak after wins over the Clippers (138-110) and Nets (124-102). Minnesota is on a three-game losing skid following losses to the Jazz (122-127) and Spurs (123-126). The teams previously met this season on December 29, 2025, with Minnesota winning 136-101.
