Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro is expected to miss at least the early portion of the team’s five-game West Coast road trip.

Herro did not travel with the Heat and will undergo an MRI after suffering a rib contusion, adding another setback to an injury-filled season.

Herro has already missed 31 of Miami’s first 42 games, dealing with multiple issues along the way.

He had recently been sidelined by a toe injury before the rib problem surfaced, further limiting his availability and continuity with the lineup.

The contrast in team results has been notable.

Miami is just 4-7 in games Herro has played this season, compared to an 18-13 record without him, underscoring how frequently the Heat have had to adjust and rely on different backcourt combinations in his absence.
