Suns guard Devin Booker is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game in New York as he continues to deal with a left ankle sprain that sidelined him for Thursday’s loss in Detroit, according to Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic.

The team will also remain without guards Jalen Green, who is recovering from a right hamstring strain, and Jamaree Bouyea, who is still in concussion protocol.

While Green has already been ruled out for another game, Rankin notes that he appears to be nearing a return after an injury-plagued season that has limited him to just two appearances. His progress has been evident to teammates.

“He’s looking more and more confident,” center Mark Williams said. “He’s looking more and more comfortable. Whenever that time is for him, we’ll be excited.”

Rankin adds that once Green is cleared, his return could impact the rotation by pushing Collin Gillespie back into a reserve role after recent starts.

Dillon Brooks also weighed in on Green’s eventual comeback, saying it will bring a noticeable lift to the lineup.

Brooks described Green as a “big spark” for the Suns, though expectations will be tempered early, as Green is likely to be eased back with limited minutes after not playing since November 8.

Head coach Jordan Ott echoed that cautious approach, stressing the importance of balancing excitement with patience.

“Full of talent, full of youthful energy we need,” Ott said. “His speed. His ability to attack off the dribble. We need him, but we need him healthy.”
