Real Madrid confirmed reports published earlier today and last month by TalkBasket about Rimantas Kaukenas' move to the club by officially announcing the deal. Lithuanian shooting guard signed one-year contract with a club option to extend it for one more year.
Kaukenas spent last three seasons with Montepaschi Siena and established himslef as one of the top guards in Europe. He aso made a return to Lithuanian national team in 2007.
32-year-old guard averaged 14.8 points per game in Euroleague last season. He will have a free summer after deciding not to play in Eurobasket 2009.
