Heat star guard Tyler Herro is expected to be back in action Tuesday when Miami faces Minnesota.
Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald reports that the Heat have upgraded Herro to available after he had been listed as questionable.
The guard has not played since December 9, missing 11 straight games because of a right big toe contusion.
That absence followed an even longer layoff to begin the season, as Herro sat out the first 17 games while recovering from left ankle surgery.
In total, he has appeared in only six games so far.
When he has been on the floor, Herro has been productive, averaging 23.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in those six appearances while shooting efficiently.
He was placed back in the starting lineup immediately after his earlier return and is expected to reclaim that role again, though Miami has recently played well with a different starting group built around Bam Adebayo.
While the Heat prepare to welcome Herro back, Minnesota may be short-handed.
Anthony Edwards is listed as questionable due to right foot injury maintenance, which could affect the Timberwolves’ offensive outlook.
