Trade speculation has intensified as Golden State reportedly discussed pursuing Porter, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer. The Warriors, eighth in the Western Conference at 18-16, are looking for a secondary scorer to complement Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler.
Golden State averages 115.6 points per game but has shown inconsistent perimeter shooting. Porter’s scoring efficiency and floor spacing would address a key weakness for the Warriors while fitting into their motion offense.
