The Knicks have struggled with depth for several seasons, but that concern is starting to fade as several key contributors off the bench continue to elevate their impact, according to Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News.
Tyler Kolek, Jordan Clarkson, and Mitchell Robinson have all taken meaningful steps forward, helping transform the second unit into a legitimate strength rather than a weakness.
Their ability to influence games without starting has reshaped how the Knicks function on both ends of the floor.
Jalen Brunson pointed to that exact mindset when discussing the group’s impact, emphasizing how important it is for bench players to immediately shift the energy of a game.
“They change the game. When I was younger, I tried to change the game when I came in off the bench,” Brunson said. “Tyler’s doing that, Jordan’s been a vet, been around for a long time. He does that every time he’s on the court. And Mitch is being who he is.
“He just impacts basketball, and so he’s always gonna be impacting the game as well. It’s all about them coming in and changing the game, and that’s their mindset and what they come in and do every single time.”
