Week 9 recognition from the league highlighted standout performances by Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jalen Brunson, who were selected as the NBA’s Players of the Week after leading their teams through productive stretches.

Over the week, Jackson consistently set the tone on both ends of the floor, averaging 27 points while also pulling down eight rebounds per game. His defensive presence was just as impactful, as he averaged nearly three blocks per contest, helping Memphis secure a 2–1 record.

Brunson earned the honor on the back of his offensive command for the New York Knicks. He carried the scoring load while also serving as the primary facilitator, posting averages of more than 31 points and eight assists per game.

Brunson’s leadership guided New York to a 2–1 week as well, capped by a victory in the NBA Cup, further underscoring his influence during the stretch.
