Desmond Bane scored 32 points, including the game-winning layup with 0.9 seconds left in overtime, as the Orlando Magic (16-12) edged the Utah Jazz (10-17) 128-127 Saturday night at Delta Center. Orlando snapped a two-game road losing streak behind Bane’s clutch performance.

Paolo Banchero recorded 23 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists while Anthony Black added 20 points and five assists, helping the Magic overcome a 19-point deficit. Orlando’s reserves combined for 38 points, including a late surge from Noah Penda, who finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Keyonte George led Utah with 27 points and nine assists, and Svi Mykhailiuk contributed 23 points. Isaiah Collier added 18 points and nine assists, while Kevin Love posted 16 points and a season-high 16 rebounds off the bench.

The Jazz rallied late in regulation, with Collier hitting a driving layup with 5.2 seconds left to force overtime. Utah trimmed Orlando’s lead from 19 points, cutting the deficit to a single possession in the final minute.

Orlando opened strong, scoring 36 points in the first quarter on 47% shooting and a 17-4 run capped by Bane’s scoring burst. Banchero later led a 19-2 run in the third, extending the Magic’s lead to 97-78 before Utah fought back.

Bane was efficient early, making 9 of 12 shots in the first half and 11 of 13 free throws overall. His decisive finger-roll in overtime followed George’s four-point play that briefly gave Utah the lead with 4.1 seconds remaining.

The Magic controlled the boards 52-34, including 32 defensive rebounds, limiting second-chance opportunities for Utah. Orlando also recorded 13 assists on 44 field goals, emphasizing ball movement in the clutch.

Orlando will travel to face Golden State on Monday, while the Jazz head to Denver the same night.
