Ja Morant is stepping into international basketball through his company Catch12, which has partnered with EuroStep Ventures, the ownership group behind the Levallois Metropolitans of France’s Nationale 1, according to BeBasket.
The move places Morant in an ownership group tied to a club that gained U.S. visibility during Victor Wembanyama’s season, which aired in full on NBA TV.
Those involved describe the partnership as a long-term play centered on culture and development rather than a short-term investment.
Catch12’s leadership, overseen by Morant’s uncle Phil, framed the decision as a commitment to people and opportunity, not just business interests.
Levallois, which currently leads its NM1 group, is targeting a return to France’s top division and keeping an eye on potential future ties to NBA Europe.
EuroStep Ventures co-founder Sam Katzin-Simon said the Morant-backed deal is meant to help shape the next chapter of basketball growth in Paris and beyond.
