As outlined by Tony East of Circle City Spin, several members of the Indiana Pacers recently addressed the status of injuries that have lingered into the season.
One of the more notable updates came from Bennedict Mathurin, who acknowledged that the toe issue which forced him to miss 11 games earlier in the year has not fully resolved itself.
Mathurin explained that while he has managed to stay on the floor since returning on November 17, the injury remains something he has to navigate daily.
He indicated that the discomfort hasn’t disappeared, even if it’s no longer severe enough to keep him sidelined.
When pressed about how it shows up during games, Mathurin made it clear the sensation is still there, though he stopped short of detailing exactly how it limits him.
The Pacers wing suggested that managing the issue has become part of his routine, balancing persistence with finding ways to remain effective despite not being completely pain-free.
Mathurin has played 4 seasons for the Pacers. He has averaged 16.1 points and 4.6 rebounds in 225 regular-season games.
