Anthony Davis pushed through a difficult night physically to help Dallas secure an overtime win against Detroit, according to Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News.

The Mavericks big man was dealing with both an illness and a bruised left calf, yet still logged heavy minutes and made a significant impact after recently missing a game because of the injury.

“Still feel under the weather,” Davis said after the game. “I actually threw up twice during the game, but I’m just trying to compete. I’m just trying to do whatever I can to help the team win. Just leaving it all on the floor.”

Despite clearly not feeling his best, Davis finished with 15 points, 18 rebounds, and three blocks in 37 minutes, anchoring the interior on both ends as Dallas outlasted the Detroit Pistons in overtime.
